Karol Pałka born in Rabka Zdrój in 1991, Karol is a photographer, cinematographer, documentary film director, and graduate of both the Radio and Television Department of the University of Silesia and the Wajda School. He was awarded a PhD in Fine Arts. His works have received numerous awards and been shown at international competitions and festivals. He received a scholarship from the City of Krakow in 2018 and also from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2020. His Feature-Length Documentary "Bucolic" had a World Premiere at Locarno International Film Festival. He was awarded at the Millennium Docs Against Gravity, Polish Competition, 2021 (Best Polish Film Award) and DOK Lepizig, International Competition, 2021, (Silver Dove Award) and shown at International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography EnergaCAMERIMAGE, Documentary Features Competition, 2021.
